eBay, an e-commerce giant has partnered up with Notable Live in order to connect fans to their favorite players, leagues and teams via NFTs. This partnership combines eBay’s collectible marketplace and Notable Live’s virtual events platform to provide a way for sports fans connect with players.
The company’s venture capital arm eBay Ventures had led Notable Live’s Series A funding round. These solutions are built on authentic offerings that attach memories and memorabilia to experiences directly from the source,” Mike Antonucci, CEO of Notable Live, stated in a statement.
eBay slowly takes over the NFT world
Notable Live was founded by Mike Antonucci, a Hall of Famer in the NFL, and Emmitt Smith. It started out as a mobile app that allowed fans to have memorable experiences with their favorite athletes. These memories would be cherished for a lifetime.
To launch the platform, the founders combined their sports and technology expertise. Notable Live is still a leader in providing fans with exclusive experiences and merchandise that relate to their favorite players, leagues and teams.
Dawn Block, Vice-President of Collectibles at eBay said that the partnership will provide collectors, investors, and sports fans with a new way to interact “living legends.”
This partnership marks eBay’s next step in the digital collectibles world. It’s all about providing unique experiences for its fans. Despite slow progress in the NFT market, eBay acquired UK-based NFT marketplace KnownOrigin and launched its NFT collection “Genesis” despite declining interest.
